油漆仓库的建造要使用非燃材料；库房位置的设定要远离明火作业点、高压线和施工工程；库内要专人负责；采取防火、防爆、通风、降温等措施，防止出现鼓桶、喷溅事故。仓库保管人员应对油漆仓库的安全负责，定时对仓库进行通风。
3．施工过程中注意防火
现场施工人员应对施工环境有充分的了解，如果有火灾出现能即使有效的进行灭火，防止爆炸事件的出现。在油漆使用过程中，尽量避免敲打、碰撞、冲击、摩擦等动作，防止产生火花，引起燃烧。施工现场，应保持良好允通风，避免空气中可燃液体的蒸气浓度过高，而达到爆炸下限。喷漆工人应该穿着防静电服进行作业。并必须配备足够数量的灭火器材，一旦发生火灾及时扑救。
4. 施工场地，严禁吸烟，并有各种防火醒目标志，不准携带火柴、打火机和其它火种进入施工场所。
5. 各种电气设备，如照明灯、电机、电气开关等都应防爆。
6. 擦试油漆的沾污棉丝、破布等物品应集中妥善存放在有清水的密闭桶中，避免引起火灾。
